Bo Obama: Jet Setter

Perhaps you’ve heard that the Obama family is on vacation this week in Maine.  As many families around the United States do, they took their family dog, Bo, with them.  Well, kind of.  He got to go on vacation, but, unlike most American family dogs, he got his own plane on which to travel.

In a small mention in Morning Sentinel, we see that the family did not travel with their dog, instead they sent him on ahead in a private jet.

Arriving in a small jet before the Obamas was the first dog, Bo, a Portuguese water dog given as a present by the late U.S. Sen Ted Kennedy, D-Mass.; and the president’s personal aide Reggie Love, who chatted with Baldacci.

At a time when we should all be sharing the sacrifices, apparently that doesn’t apply to the First Dog.
