UCLA Economist Dr. Lee Ohanian pokes holes in the left’s claim that it was Hoover’s free-market approach that lead to the Great Depression. Ohanian’s research would suggest otherwise.

Representative Shea-Porter was asked about Czars and then went into a tirade about the people electing representatives. It’s really quite amazing. No one said the people sent a communist to represent them in Washington, they said Obama’s green jobs czar is a self-avowed communist. Newsflash to the Congresswoman: these “Czars” are not elected, nor confirmed by the Senate.

The GOP primary opponent of Gov. Crist came out swinging against the governor’s pick to replace Martinez in the Senate:
“This is a disappointing appointment for Florida. George LeMieux is a talented political operative and the governor’s best friend, but that doesn’t make him the right choice to represent Florida in the Senate. Governor Crist had a wealth of consistent and principled conservative candidates to choose from, all of whom would have been a reliable check and balance on the excesses of the Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda.”

If you need any more proof than the United Kingdom that government run health care is a disaster, look no further than Massachusetts.
From the ever impressive CATO Institute:
In 2006, the Bay State enacted a slate of reforms that almost perfectly mirror the plan of Obama and congressional Democrats.
